I've attached some pictures of a pile of Cherry generated from the "The Hurricane of 1938" out of Connecticut.
Basically I am helping a woman clear out her barn.
Her husband passed away leaving her with "Grandpas" pile of Cherry.
The stock is as dry as can be and has some interesting shapes and sizes. The grandpa had the family tree sawn utilizing branches and all.
Any interest or if you know of anyone please send along the pics or let me know.
It will work out to 2000' or so and price is $4000.
Not bad at $2/bdft.

Thanks.
Chuck.

I have a large-ish supply of wood for carving into bowls, sculpture and relief work.  I would like to find someone who could really use it.  I am looking for a few things myself, as a fiber artist and would love to trade if you can, but not absolutely necessary.  Let's talk!   If you go to Craigslist and type in "Carving Wood", you can see pics of the stuff I have here at home.  I'm in Grand Isle, but closer to South Hero, and you would need to come get it, as I no longer have a big enough car to transport
